I am really keen on the idea of going to Egypt for a holiday with my partner this year. It’s the idea of delving into the world of ancient civilisations that attracts me most, as I’m sure it does for many people. When we get there, though, I want to avoid as much of the general holiday fluff as possible and get straight to the history. I’m hoping to find some good hotels in Egypt that will mean we have quick access to the major sites. I haven’t decided whether we’d be better off staying in one place or moving around. We’ll have to travel a bit anyway as Cairo, Luxor and Aswan where some of the key sites are located are quite far away from each other.
