Once I saw an old friend of mine from the dorms at college. As I recalled, he was a music major. I asked him what he was doing, and he said that he teaches guitar from a shop he has downtown. He gives a free introductory acoustic guitar lesson, and he has a eighty percent sign up rate after that. And his students average studying with him for a year or more. And several of his students have gone on to form bands, and a couple even have made small record deals. Pretty impressive for a guy that we all thought was studying music because he didn’t want to get a “real” job. We should all be so lucky as to follow your dreams like this guy and make a living doing it.
